Description

Chemical Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology is involved in structure and changes of materials in order to arrive at useful or valuable insights about characteristics or actions.

In the processes required to reach this objective, knowledge from a broad range of scientific and engineering fields is exploited. Chemical engineers are involved in these processes and everything they encompass: from initial design of the process up to the finished product.

Key Facts

The engineers deal with a variety of areas in which Chemical Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology takes stage: energy, water treatment, polymers, microelectronics, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, petrochemicals, security, environmental quality and more.

Graduate studies are intended to deepen and widen students’ basic knowledge in Chemical Engineering as well as develop strong problem-solving abilities in the range of complex Chemical Engineering activities.

World-Class Research Infrastructure

Graduate and doctoral Chemical Engineering students in the research tracks (MSc and PhD) combine advanced engineering studies with innovative research carried out in the framework of one of the Faculty’s research groups. The research topics aim to respond to the needs of the chemical industry worldwide. The state-of-the art facilities in our Technion campus allow research in light scattering, small-angle x-ray scattering, rheological measurements, cryogenic transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and x-ray microanalysis, light microscopy, FTIR, gas chromatography, and nano-size measurements.
